Composer/Arranger Submissions
Are you a talented composer and/or arranger with a keen attention to detail? If so, Sigma Squared Music would love to hear from you!
We are seeking submissions of original compositions, creative arrangements, and high-quality transcriptions of classical masterworks for concert band, small ensembles (woodwind, brass, and strings, with or without piano), and solo instruments (with or without piano accompaniment). See our catalog to get an idea of the types of music we sell.
What we offer:
Because of our low overhead, we can pay royalties of 15% on each sale of your music! This is almost unheard of in an industry where 10% is the standard. Royalty checks are distributed each January for the prior year. We will list your music on our website and with our other distribution channels, plus send you two free copies for your own collection.
What we need from you:
Send us your music in whatever electronic form you have it! We can take PDF files, or music notation software scores (Dorico preferred, but we can also accept Sibelius and MusicXML; we can no longer read Finale files). If sending PDF, please also submit an MP3 or MIDI recording.
Do not send arrangements of copyrighted material.
Please be prepared to work with us to ensure your music meets our strict guidelines for publication quality. We may ask you for revisions before we can accept a piece. If we cannot publish a piece for any reason, we will let you know and may even offer suggestions for future submissions.
Also, if you are interested in being considered for future projects, please let us know! We have a large backlog of items to add to our growing catalog, but limited resources to bring them to market.
Ready to get started? Send an email to Steve Winstead and let us know what you've got!
