Music by various composers and traditional melodies
Arranged by Steve Winstead

Grade 3
Duration: approximately 27:00, but varies with pieces selected and number of repeats performed

These Twenty-One Christmas Carols are a fun-to-play collection of well-known Christmas and holiday songs arranged in a flexible style, with a traditional feel and a dash of contemporary flavor. Each song is fairly short, but can be repeated as many times through the verses as desired. An optional introduction is notated for each song.

The four books can be mixed and matched to accommodate any two woodwind instruments (and even some non-woodwind players):

  • C transposition: Flute, Oboe, and other non-transposing instruments such as violin or mallet percussion
  • B-flat transposition: Clarinet, soprano/tenor saxophone, and trumpet
  • E-flat transposition: alto/baritone saxophone, sopranino/alto clarinet
  • Bass Clef transposition: Bassoon, and other bass clef instruments such as cello or trombone

Please note: the E-flat book is fairly low and may be challenging for alto sax players. For a less-difficult saxophone duet (though not compatible with the flexible woodwind books), please try Twenty-One Christmas Carols for Saxophone Duet.
